Grief Support
The death of someone we love is likely to be one of the most distressing experiences we will ever face. When someone dies, a relationship is lost, a process of change begins, and we move towards a new and largely unknown situation.
Organisations like Cruse Bereavement Care or The Samaritans have trained volunteers who can offer counselling support.
Cruse Bereavement Care’ mission is to offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies and to enhance society’s care of bereaved people.
Bereavement Volunteers in the Northern Area provide support in and around Antrim, Ballymena, Larne, Ballymoney and Magherafelt.
We recommend: Cruse Bereavement Care’s vision is that all bereaved people have somewhere to turn when someone dies. We offer free and confidential services provided by trained volunteers.
Contact Cruse Bereavement Care to find out the range of services they offer. Please note that Cruse Bereavement Care administrative office is staffed from 9am to 1pm weekdays only, and adults must normally self refer if they wish to access face to face support. See contact info below.
